Beach Looks on a Budget ft. Joe Fresh

Inspired by Vogue Daily's Beach Looks Under $100 . We created our own budget friendly SoFlo summer collection. While most states have about one month left to soak up the sun in their beach-y fits we Floridians typically have a much longer expiration date on our summer wardrobe. So here is our fav "Beach and Boating" summer pieces under $100.

P.S kinda obsessed with breakout Canadian line Joe Fresh.

We're Diggin': Ravish Sands

Why are we diggin' Ravish Sands ?? Pssshh how can we not?!

1) Unique designs, made in limited amounts so you don't run into your twin at the beach.
2) Brazilian cuts, perfect for Miami, SoFlo and tropical getaways.
3) Made in the USA! Supporting American jobs is a plus right now!
4) Native Floridian designer Jessie Becker who is as pretty and fun as the suits she designs!
5) Custom orders!

We are loving floral and paisley patterns for summer right now. With this heat wave a bathing suit can stretch it's appeal beyond the beach. Think outdoor music festivals paired with a flowing skirt or cut-off shorts, or the suit top under a sheer garment when out in So Flo's nightlife.

It's Official, Delray Beach is the Most Fun

On July 17, 2012 , Rand McNally and USA Today named Delray Beach the Most Fun Small Town in America in their Second Annual Best of the Road Competition.

From beach life to night life, we SoFlo locals know how lucky we are to be living the rest of the country's dream vacation.

Kayne's Menswear Tips/ Trash Tweeting People in NYC

Kanye debuted his fashion line in October 2011 (see pics here)  to mixed reviews.

More recently he's taken to Twhating (tweet+hating) the outfits of random people walking down the streets of NYC as he is being chauffeured (hopefully not tweeting and driving...).

Lets see what wisdom he has to bestow...

(1)

Uh- Oh Beckham better watch out...

(2)

If I was a guy, I'd wear it...

(3)

For the most part... Yeaaaaa

(4)

He's probably wearing dress shoes...

(5)

If it's "off brand" Kanye is not down.

(6)

AHHH finally! I've had this argument (discussion?) with someone before. If you are over 15 or not in the "Crocodile Dundee" guys line of work throw the Khaki cargo's away.

Yea this is what I'm talking about. I don't care if it's Leo DiCaprio (it is) .  P.S these socks? shoes? everything! ???

(7)

Yea... it's not really my taste.
Jason DeRullo

But I wonder what Kanye thinks about this...

We all have our list of fashion pet-peeves and we are all entitled to them. Mine are:
-long denim skirts
-crocs & socks
-crocs & anything
-cut out muscle shirts outside of the gym
-skirts or dresses that hit just below the knee
-workout sneakers and anything that isn't work-out gear.

What are you fashion faux-pas?

xoxo

Island Vibe

Rock the tropical prints this summer without looking like a tourist by adding tropical print pieces to your outfits; like printed shoes or shorts or bag (notice how we said "or" as in not all together) .
Jimmy Choo
ASOS

Feeling bolder? Go for a tropical printed dress or add the matching shirt to the shorts! Having solid accessories when wearing so much print makes for a clean, elegant look.

Music Monday: Summer Nights

"Summer Nights" has us feeling like we are on a tropical Island. So if you can't make it to the tropics this break just step outside in the heat wave sweeping North America with a blended drink and this track on your ipod- instant island getaway.

1st and 4th of July Style

This coming weekend and week will be full of barbecues, picnics, sporting events, pool parties, family, friends and fireworks! This blog, being 50% Canadian, begins celebrating July 1st with Canada Day through to the 4th of July!

We thought a fun way to pay homage to the history of our countries would be to don these red and white vintage dresses with an Americana themed shoot of simple days spent frolicking in the sun.

We're Diggin' Ola Para Siempre Surfboard Covers

We got giddy when we came across Ola Para Siempre (waves forever) on twitter. Totally stocked their facebook, website and etsy checking out the different colored surfboard covers.

Creator, owner, entrepreneur Sina is based on the Gold Coast where she makes surfboard covers for the "classic and stylish surfers who want to carry their boards in a cover that says "Yes, I've got style".

Get to know Sina:

Where are you from?
Sina: Venezuela (sun, rum and palm trees everywhere)

How did you get started in Surfboard Covers?Sina: I made one for my boyfriend, and then I thought "this is rad" and so I started to make more and more.

Tell us a bit about yourself:
Sina: I'm simple. I eat, I sleep, I watch t.v. I read. I dream. And sometimes I hide in the bathroom and cry because I really miss my dog, Moe.

What music are you listening to right now?
Sina: Blues (a very cool blues playlist ruben made for us)

PS.
Sina has an awesome blog too!
Just tell Sina your favorite colors and she will make a custom cover for you or you can shop her creations on Etsy.
